URU is about growing and uniting the community as well as empowering and inspiring teachers and students. Beckie has a calm and peaceful presence while challenging her students cheerfully and with love. Rebecca has been studying and teaching since 1997. She really fell in love with yoga when she lived at Maya Tulum Yoga Retreat in Mexico where she was inspired by so many teachers and styles. Some of her biggest influences are Shiva Rea, many Anusara yoga teachers, and Sianna Sherman. Rebecca’s classes are Vinyasa Yoga with alignment woven in and Rasa Yoga. She is a Rasa Yoga certified teacher. One of her favorite things in life is to lead the URU Yoga & Beyond 200 & 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings. Some of her greatest life teachers are her students, her mom, friends, her boyfriend, Chris, the URU teachers, and most of all her daughters, Kaya and Malia. Beckie loves the outdoors, her family, traveling, and focusing on the interconnectedness of life and all beings. Rebecca loves to share yoga as a way to connect deeply with ourselves and each other.
